Darius Hulea: Books&Arts – 4 October 2019-3 March 2020, Cantacuzino Castle Busteni

The exhibition “BOOKS & ARTS” from The Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni highlights the spiritual connection between people and books, through the artist’s power to translate it into a visual environment, but at the same time reminds one of the importance of books for knowledge.

It encourages keeping books as close as possible to the soul, as it always is with dear friends, thus launching an invitation to join reading by the readers surprised on the canvas. The stories are displayed in a unique and subjective manner, proving they remain an endless source of inspiration. The still-lives in the exhibition abound with books, demonstrating how the presence of these objects, even with a decorative role, assures one that he or she has and escape and an answer always at hand. Some of the artworks in the exhibition show how the Book transforms and adapts to the present, constantly trying to stay current in the technological age.
