Very close to the pink heights,
Walking elegantly, long legs are kissing the lips of sea,
What Graces are watching from beyond horizons, above the tropical swans?
The Ballerina bows, hers is the Honor!

Alexandra Andone studied and works in Brand Creation and Communication field. She discovered her vocation for painting 7 years ago at the age of 27. She spent 4 years studying oil painting technique in Nicolae Maniu’s studio, one of the best contemporary painters from Romania, the only one that has been represented in the last 20 years by the successful OPERA Gallery in Shanghai, New York and Paris. During her art training time, she had personal & group exhibition, marking a consistent entrance in the Universe of Romanian Arts both in the country capital, Bucharest but also in the city where she lives, Cluj- the capital of Romanian arts where the famous Cluj School of Arts was created and where internationally known painters like Adrian Ghenie were formed. All Alexandra’s exhibitions had a huge success and won the public sympathy due to her courageous and original subjects, always represented in vivid and strong colors.
“I paint because I’m always challenged by new ideas and how I should put them in practice. When I look at a painting, I see a window to another world.
A new world.
A world that unveils itself and invites to a journey beyond the wall where the painting hangs. A world where the stories are the witness of the events, where the trees talk, the wings are free and the colors simplify the forms. A world where the creation is new.”
“I paint because I have too much color in my soul”.
„Essentialism” collection answers briefly to questions on existence, spirituality, of sense and purpose. It’s about humanity and nature. In essence things are either white or black. On the fluid dance of the paradoxes, whom last purpose is unification and integration, all colors are born along all infinite possibilities created with the freedom of game in manifestation.
This is the movement from the statically, the living from the emptiness, the spirit from matter. The artworks are conceptual representations for some of the essentials, ideas get forms with hyperbolic characters in allegorical scenes.
As an artist I get enormous pleasure to combine the Real with the Fantasy, the Classical with the Modern, in a unique wearing.

Ea imparte verdele in doi, purtand la gat perle Cobalt Blue,
Pe care le asorteaza cu ochii cu care te priveste.
Deodata inroseste in tot ce e adevarat.
Dar de ce a inrosit la tine?
Fulgerul inocentei, orbirea adevarului,
Cea mai sincera emotie, in sange-i alearga
Ca doi nebuni: Neasteptatul joc si fantezia,
Si secretul care le uneste:
Dragostea.

The strike of the innocence, the blindness of truth,
The most sincere emotion, the color of blood,
Running inside like crazy do:

The secret that puzzles the two,

Divinul, cel mai mare mister din toate.
Si ma intreb mereu ce inseamna “Etern”?
In fiecare zi traiesc sa mor atat de incet.
Rotesc cercul, macar sa-mi amintesc sau sa stiu:
Exista vreun scop pentru asta?
Atunci tu, geniul meu ascuns si smecher,
Raspunzi inapoi razand ca: NU!
Si iarasi simt viata inflorindu-mi sufletul,
Si umil mai cer o secunda, te rog…
Sa fiu Gradinarul tau ...
Si chiar mai mult.

In some eyes I play naked with my soul,
The God, the biggest mysteries of all.
To wonder always. what is that “Eternal”?
When every day I live to die so slow.
I spin my circle to at least remember or to know:
Is there any purpose for all this at all?
And then you, the tricky hidden genius of mine,
Whisper laughing back at me: NO!
And so, I feel again the life that blooms inside my soul,
And humble ask for one more second, please...
To be your gardener...
